How we rate firms
Our rating is built only from public client reviews, with every source linked.
Where the reviews come from
We check each firm's public profile on the platforms clients use most: Google, ReviewSolicitors, Trustpilot, Solicitor.info, Feefo, Yell and others. Each platform's rating and review count is shown separately on the firm's page, with a link to the original.
For Trustpilot we show the number of reviews and link straight to the firm's Trustpilot page, where you can see its score.
How the combined rating works
We take each platform's published star rating and weight it by the number of reviews on that platform. A firm with 4.9 from 2,000 reviews and 2.5 from 20 reviews scores close to 4.9, because far more clients are behind the first figure.
Some platforms rate a single office and others rate the whole business. We label which is which on every card.
How often we check
Every figure carries the date we last checked it. Ratings on this site were last checked on 3 October 2026.
What we don't do
Firms cannot pay to change their rating or their position in a list. Firms that claim their page can update their details and add review sources we have missed, but the scores always come from the platforms themselves.
